Estoril Praia and Freiburg have played out a goalless draw in their Europa League match at the Estadio Antonio Coimbra da Mota.

The hosts worked the first opening of the match when Seba was played through on goal, but Freiburg keeper Oliver Baumann was equal to his effort.

Filipe Goncalves was next to attempt a strike on goal but his low shot went wide of Baumann's post.

Minutes into the second half Luis Leal nearly opened the scoring for the hosts, but he put his header from close range wide. He came even closer soon after but after picking up the ball with plenty of room on the edge of the box, he failed to hit the target.

The best chance of the half fell to Mano, who saw his header from Evandro's free kick pushed over by Baumann.

The visitors finished the night with nine men after Karim Guede and Nicolas Hofler were sent off in the closing stages, but the home side couldn't make their advantage count and the game finished in a draw.
