Raheem Sterling has revealed that there has been a "different atmosphere" around the England camp following the World Cup.
Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard retired after the Brazil tournament while Wayne Rooney was given the captaincy, and the Liverpool youngster has stated that the players-only meetings have helped.
"There's been a different atmosphere since the World Cup," Sterling explained to Sky Sports News.
"We had a unit meeting, team players only, we sat down and we watched the games [from the World Cup], and obviously we've got new players coming in. The meeting was something really new to me, but it was really helpful.
"I'm [concentrating] purely on football, I train hard, recover and look forward to the game at the end of the week."
Sterling claimed an assist for Danny Welbeck as the Three Lions beat Switzerland 2-0 last week.
