West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce is hopeful that he will be considered for the England managerial vacancy once Fabio Capello leaves his post.
The Italian is expected to step down as the Three Lions boss once the European Championships have come to an end next year.
Despite Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp being the favourite to succeed Capello, the former Bolton boss reveals that he is working hard to get noticed by the FA.
"I have to be on top of my game when they start thinking about who is going to replace Fabio," he told Sky Sports News.
"If I am on top of my game with West Ham I might get considered."
The Hammers are currently six points below Southampton in second place of the Championship table.
