Stuart Pearce is confirmed as England's interim boss.

Chairman of the Football Association David Bernstein has confirmed that Stuart Pearce will take charge of England for their tie with Holland.

Bernstein confirmed the news at the FA Press Conference on Thursday afternoon and admitted that he was "very pleased" with the appointment.

"In terms of the future, I am very pleased to announce that Stuart Pearce will manage the England team for the Holland match," said Bernstein.

"He has huge experience inside and outside this organisation and of course he manages the England Under-21 team and has been working with Fabio for some time. I have great confidence in Stuart."

Pearce was capped 78 times for England.
