Iker Casillas was left impressed by opposite number Joe Hart at Wembley yesterday evening.

Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas has praised his opposite number Joe Hart.

The England number one kept a clean sheet as Fabio Capello's side defeated the world champions 1-0 at Wembley yesterday evening.

Casillas was impressed with what he saw from Hart, describing him as a "serious player".

"It was the first time I have seen him and I was quite impressed," said the Real Madrid stopper. "England have struggled to find the right keeper but he is a serious player.

"It is important for Fabio Capello to have the confidence in the keeper for the whole side.

"Hart has proved himself in the Premier League with Manchester City. He is a very confident boy and he uses that in a positive way."

Casillas equalled the record for most Spanish caps last night, making his 126th appearance for his country.
