Gullit: 'Capello won't quit'

Fabio Capello will remain as England manager for the European Championships, according to Ruud Gullit.

Ruud Gullit does not expect Fabio Capello to leave his post as manager of England before the European Championships this summer.

Capello's future has come into question following the Football Association's decision to strip John Terry of the captaincy.

The Italian coach has gone public to criticise the FA's verdict, stating that Terry should have remained skipper.

However, Gullit, who played under Capello during his stint with AC Milan, believes that Capello will see the job through.

"[Capello] wants to do the European Championship," said Gullit. "I saw him yesterday but I didn't get the feeling that he was concerned about anything.

"Capello is a guy that doesn't want people to tell him what to do.

"He just wants to go with the strongest team that he has and I think that there's a reason why he said something about it. That is something that the FA has to debate with Capello."

Steven Gerrard is expected to be named England's new captain.
