Fabio Capello praises Jack Rodwell, Phil Jones and Theo Walcott after England beat Sweden 1-0.

Fabio Capello has praised England's young players after their 1-0 win over Sweden at Wembley last night.

The England boss said that the performances of Jack Rodwell, Phil Jones and Theo Walcott made a mark on his plans for Euro 2012.

"During these games, I'm looking for something new, and I found it," Capello said.

"I found three really interesting players. These three players are really good technically, really good physically, and all three are fast. That is important in modern football.

"For me, it was more important to see Jones, Walcott, Rodwell, to play against a team which is really organised on the pitch and difficult to play against.

"The answer that I received from the performance is really important for me. These three players played really well."

The victory means that England have completed their first unbeaten calendar year since 1994.

"We're unbeaten in 2011, but those are just statistics. It will be important what we do in the Euros, not what we've done in this year," Capello added.

"It was good we played with less fear. We started the first 15 minutes against Spain and today we played without fear."

Last night's victory marks the first time that England have defeated Sweden since 1968.
