England forward Theo Walcott has said that he was surprised to see his second-half strike hit the back of the net in the team's 3-2 win against Sweden at Euro 2012.
Walcott, who came off the bench with an hour gone, was able to beat Sweden keeper Andreas Isaksson with a looping shot from outside the area that tied the score at two goals apiece.
"I just thought 'wow'," he told reporters.
"At first I thought it took a deflection to be honest, but I watched it back and it didn't.
"It's been a long time coming. It was at a crucial time of the game as well. It just shows what class we've got now. The three points were massive."
