Zak Whitbread ruled out for two weeks

Derby County confirm that defender Zak Whitbread will be out of action for two weeks with a calf injury.

Derby County have confirmed that defender Zak Whitbread will be sidelined for two weeks with a calf injury.

The 29-year-old, who is currently on loan from Leicester City, was forced off during Saturday's 3-2 win over Watford in the Championship.

"After undergoing a scan late on Monday it was been confirmed he has suffered a calf strain and will be out of action for a couple of weeks," read a statement on Derby's official website.

The Rams return to league action on Saturday when they welcome Birmingham City to Pride Park.
