Alan Pardew coy on Yannick Bolasie speculation

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew remains coy on speculation linking Yannick Bolasie with a move to Everton, but reveals his intention to bring in two new players.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has insisted that Yannick Bolasie will still be at the club for the opening weekend of the new Premier League season.

The 27-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Everton this summer in a deal that could rise to up to £30m.

However, while Pardew refused to confirm whether there is interest in the winger, he did reveal that no deal would take place before this weekend.

"We've got nothing concrete to announce today, other than a lot of rumours. There's nothing that's going to happen before the weekend. Yannick is contracted here. He's a great player & a great person, I love him. We'll treat him with the utmost respect in any situation," he told reporters.

"There's only one way for us and that's to improve and get better. Change is good. This is going to be a team in transition this season. We've added three players who I think will take us forward and we will hopefully bring in two more.

"We want to take the club forward in a manner where we don't lose the spirit and the soul of this football club. This club has grown massively. We're in unprecedented territory - our fourth year in the top division. Without having a transfer out, I would expect us to add two more players."

Palace begin their campaign at home to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
