Glenn Murray: 'Crystal Palace spell was best and worst time of my career'

Glenn Murray tells Sports Mole that his four-year spell at Crystal Palace was the 'best and worst' of his career.

Glenn Murray has revealed that his time at Crystal Palace was one of the 'best and worst' of his career.

The 31-year-old left Selhurst Park on the final day of the transfer window last week to join Bournemouth for a reported £4m fee.

Murray, who has penned a three-year contract with the Cherries, spent four years playing in South-East London.

During his time at Palace, he scored 31 goals in the 2012-13 campaign to help the team earn promotion to the Premier League, but towards the end of the season suffered a serious knee injury.

"It was one of the best of my career and one of the worst," Murray told Sports Mole. "I scored a lot of goals there, the club progressed a lot while I was there, but I also tore my anterior cruciate ligament while I was there so it was topsy-turvy shall we say."

Murray could make his debut in Saturday's trip to face Norwich City.
