Eddie Howe: Glenn Murray adds a "different dimension" to attack

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe believes that Glenn Murray will add a "different dimension" to his side's attack.

Eddie Howe has claimed that Bournemouth will be able to adopt a different approach in attack after bringing Glenn Murray to the club.

The Cherries spent a reported £4m to sign the striker from Crystal Palace on the final day of the transfer window, and Howe believes that the 31-year-old's ability in the air will make them a tougher side to face in the Premier League.

"Glenn did incredibly well for Crystal Palace at the end of last season and was pivotal to them staying in the division," he told the Bournemouth Echo.

"He is a player we have liked for a long time and he made an impression playing against us at Burnley during his Championship days. He made the step up to the Premier League and did very well last season with some very good performances.

"He will add a different dimension to our attack and to our frontline. He is very good with crosses, very good aerially and a real goal threat."

Bournemouth have collected four points from their opening four games and will visit Norwich City after the international break.
