Sheffield United's Callum McFadzean joins Chesterfield on loan

Chesterfield have signed Sheffield United winger Callum McFadzean on a short-term loan deal.

The 19-year-old, who has made eight appearances for United this season, will remain with the Spireites until January 4.

"Going into the busy Christmas period, we must ensure that we've got good cover," Chesterfield boss Paul Cook told the club's official website.

"We're very grateful to Sheffield United for allowing us to borrow such a good young player, he gives us great cover on the left-hand side."

McFadzean could make his debut in Chesterfield's match against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.
