Chelsea legend John Terry has reportedly agreed a £60,000-a-week deal at Aston Villa and will officially put pen to paper on Monday afternoon.
The 36-year-old saw his existing contract with the Blues expire on July 1, bringing the curtain down on his 22-year association with the club.
Terry announced in April that he would leave Stamford Bridge this summer, leading to rumoured interest from Premier League sides Bournemouth and West Bromwich Albion, as well as numerous foreign suitors.
Championship rivals Villa and Birmingham City had been left battling it out for his signature in recent days, though, with the Villans the first to reach an agreement with the ex-England international.
According to The Sun, Terry will finalise his free transfer in the next 24 hours and then jet off to the Algarve to take part in the club's pre-season training camp.
It is claimed that Terry has shaken hands on a one-year agreement, worth around £3m in its entirety.
