Chelsea attacker Timo Werner is reportedly preparing to hold 'showdown talks' with head coach Thomas Tuchel amid the ongoing speculation surrounding his future.
The Germany international has again found it difficult to make his mark for the Blues this season, managing just one goal and one assist in 11 Premier League appearances.
Werner still has more than three years left to run on his contract at Stamford Bridge, but a recent report claimed that Borussia Dortmund are keen to bring him back to the Bundesliga this summer.
According to Goal, the forward and his representatives will sit down with Chelsea officials in the coming weeks to discuss his future at the club.
The report claims that the 25-year-old has become 'increasingly frustrated' with his lack of league football this season and is open to seeking pastures new during this summer's transfer window.
Werner has netted 19 times and registered 19 assists in 76 appearances for Chelsea since joining the capital giants from RB Leipzig in July 2020.
The German scored once and provided two assists in Wednesday's 3-2 win at Luton Town in the FA Cup but is likely to be back on the bench against Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday.
