Borussia Dortmund are reportedly considering a summer move for Chelsea forward Timo Werner.
The Bundesliga giants are expected to lose Erling Braut Haaland ahead of the 2022-23 campaign, with the Norway international having a £67m release clause in his contract this summer.
As a result, BVB are likely to be active in the upcoming market, and according to Sky Deutschland, Werner has emerged as a leading target for the club.
The report claims that the Germany international is open to a return to the Bundesliga, although his wages at Chelsea would be a problem for Dortmund.
Werner has again found it difficult to show his best form for the Blues during the 2021-22 campaign, managing just six goals and two assists in 23 appearances in all competitions.
In total, the German has netted 18 goals and registered 17 assists in 75 appearances for his current side since making the move from RB Leipzig in July 2020.
The 25-year-old was a regular scorer during his time at Leipzig, though, managing 95 goals and 40 assists in 159 outings for the club ahead of a switch to Stamford Bridge.
