Santos have declared that they are no longer interested in signing Chelsea's Florent Malouda.
The Brazilian club's vice-president Odilio Rodrigues confirmed that talks were held with the midfielder but a deal was not reached.
"We did have talks with Malouda a few months ago, but he is not in our plans anymore," he told Brazilian website Lancenet.
"We are not negotiating with Malouda, we have other priorities. We understand he is a great player but we didn't make any new offer."
Malouda, 32, has not played for Chelsea this season after being frozen out by manager Roberto Di Matteo.
