Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku will reportedly stay at the club next season if Jose Mourinho is appointed as manager.

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku will not leave the club on loan next season if Jose Mourinho returns to the Blues as manager, according to a report.

The 19-year-old spent the past campaign on loan at West Bromwich Albion, where he impressed scoring 17 goals, including a hat-trick on the final day of the season against Premier League champions Manchester United.

However, Mourinho believes that he can turn the Belgium international into the new Didier Drogba and emulate the success the Ivorian had at Stamford Bridge, according to The Sun.

Chelsea have already reportedly rebuffed bids from Swansea City and West Ham United for Lukaku's services next season.
