Chelsea have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira.
Jose Mourinho signed the German international in 2010 during his time in charge of the Spanish giants.
According to the Daily Star, the Blues manager is keen to further strengthen his midfield, which has been boosted by the capture of Cesc Fabregas.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is also believed to be interested in Khedira, but their London rivals are thought to be leading the chase for his signature.
Khedira is currently in Brazil with the Germany squad, who are preparing for their opening World Cup match against Portugal on Monday.
