Paris Saint-Germain hope for Juan Mata talks?

Paris Saint-Germain emerge as late contenders to sign Chelsea's attacking midfielder Juan Mata.

Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keen to hold talks with Chelsea regarding the availability of Juan Mata.

The Spanish international's future at Stamford Bridge has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks, despite claims from manager Jose Mourinho that he is part of his plans for the coming months.

Both Manchester United and Arsenal have been linked with the 25-year-old, but PSG believe that because they are not a domestic rival to the Blues, they may have a better chance of securing his services, according to L'Equipe.

The publication added that officials from PSG are eager for discussions to take place as soon as possible.
