Newcastle United and Leeds United have reportedly joined the race to capture Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley in the January transfer window.
Burnley were supposedly the first side to set their sights on the Englishman, who has been limited to one substitute appearance in the Premier League for the Blues so far this season.
According to 90min, Newcastle and Leeds have now joined the Clarets in their pursuit of the midfielder, with the London side reportedly willing to let him leave on a loan deal after he spent last season with Aston Villa.
In that spell, Barkley made 24 appearances for Dean Smith's men, contributing three goals and providing an assist as they finished 11th in the Premier League.
Since arriving from Everton in 2018, the England international has featured 89 times for Chelsea, registering 11 goals and 11 assists, but he has seen his status slip at Stamford Bridge since Thomas Tuchel's appointment last season.
