Manchester City 'to offer Chelsea £150m for Eden Hazard'

Pep Guardiola has reportedly made Eden Hazard his top attacking target for the summer and is prepared to break the British transfer record to land the Chelsea ace.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has reportedly been given the green light to launch a £150m bid for Chelsea forward Eden Hazard.

The Citizens missed out on Alexis Sanchez this month after refusing to meet his contract demands, allowing rivals Manchester United to pounce.

According to The Mirror, Guardiola has now made Hazard his top attacking target for the summer window and has been backed by the club's moneymen to push ahead with a move.

Hazard, also a target for Spanish giants Real Madrid, has delayed putting pen to paper on a new contract at Stamford Bridge and is now into the final two years of his deal.

City are said to be prepared to break the British transfer record for a player, while at the same time offering the Belgium international wages of £300,000 a week, plus £50,000 in various add-ons - substantially more than he is earning at Stamford Bridge.
