Atletico Madrid frontman Radamel Falcao will be told that he can decide his future in the summer.

Atletico Madrid general manager Miguel Angel Gil Marin has admitted that the club will allow Radamel Falcao to decide his future when the current season has concluded.

The Colombian international has long been linked with a move away from the Vicente Calderon, with Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid all said to be keen to claim his signature.

Despite stating that Atletico want to keep hold of the 26-year-old, Marin has conceded that it will be up to Falcao where he plays next year.

"By signing him when we did, it was very high risk. Thank God that it went well. People doubted him and the amount that we had paid," Marin told AS. "Our trust in him has been proven. We spoke with him before he came and we were right about the player, as a professional and as a person.

"What about his future? The commitment to him is that at the end of the season we will decide what is best for both parties and we will help him to decide, he has earned the right to decide.

"I know that he is comfortable in our league, in our city and at our club."

Falcao has scored 20 goals in all competitions so far this campaign.
