Chelsea to offer Napoli £45m for Edinson Cavani?

Chelsea will reportedly table £45m for Napoli star Edinson Cavani in an attempt to beat rivals Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Chelsea have reportedly not given up on their pursuit of Napoli striker Edinson Cavani, despite interest from Manchester City and Real Madrid.

The Uruguay international's mother revealed yesterday that the frontman is in talks with the Spanish giants and the former Premier League champions.

It is believed that Blues manager Jose Mourinho is keen to grab a marquee signing this summer, and he will try to knock back his rivals by tabling a £45m bid for Cavani, according to The Express.

Meanwhile, Mourinho's first signing is expected to be Bayer Leverkusen's Andre Schurrle after the two clubs reached an agreement.
