Chelsea are reportedly the latest side to have shown an interest in signing midfielder Blaise Matuidi from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 29-year-old was initially thought to be on his way out of the French side this summer following the arrival of Grzegorz Krychowiak from Sevilla.
Both Manchester United and Juventus are said to have made enquiries over the France international's future, but new PSG boss Unai Emery was quick to rule out a sale.
According to The Sun, Chelsea have not been put off by Emery's comments and will now make an approach of their own as they look to add further strength to their midfield engine room.
The same report claims that Matuidi, who made 45 appearances for the Ligue 1 champions last season and a further 13 for France, is available for a fee between £17m and £25m.
Chelsea have already splashed out £32m this summer to sign N'Golo Kante from Leicester City on a five-year deal.
