Chilean youngster Cristian Cuevas will join Chelsea in the summer after the club agrees a £1.7m deal for his services.

Chelsea have completed the signing of Chilean youngster Cristian Cuevas.

The Blues have shelled out £1.7m on the 17-year-old midfield star, who was plying his trade with O'Higgins in his home country, reports The Mirror.

Cuevas, who has caps for Chile at Under-20 level, completed a successful trial at Stamford Bridge in November and will join up with his new teammates in the summer.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have reportedly informed 19-year-old Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeru - who is currently on loan at Dutch club Den Haah - that he will be inducted into the senior team next season.
