Chelsea are reportedly preparing a January bid for AC Milan forward Krzysztof Piatek.
The Blues are currently banned from bringing new players to Stamford Bridge after breaching FIFA rules in relation to signing youth players, but the club are allegedly confident that the suspension will be lifted in time for the January transfer window.
A new striker to put pressure on Tammy Abraham is believed to be a priority for head coach Frank Lampard, and the club have recently been linked with Bournemouth's Callum Wilson and RB Leipzig's Timo Werner.
However, according to Calciomercato, the Blues are interested in a swoop for Piatek and could place a £30m offer on the table when the winter window opens for business.
The 24-year-old struck 19 times in 21 appearances for Genoa in the first half of last season before joining Milan, where he has struck 14 times in 29 outings in all competitions.
Manchester United have also recently been linked with the nine-time Poland international, who has a contract at San Siro until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
