Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas has claimed that he has no knowledge of Chelsea's reported attempts to hijack his club's move for Willian.
The 25-year-old Anzhi Makhachkala playmaker had appeared to be on the verge of joining Spurs in a £30m deal earlier today.
However, it has since transpired that he is now holding talks at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking after his side's 5-0 win over Dinamo Tbilisi in the Europa League, Villas-Boas confirmed his interest in Willian, but insisted that he was not up to date on the player's situation.
"We were just involved in a game so unfortunately I can't give you further information," the Portuguese manager told BBC Sport.
"I confirmed our interest in the player. Everything is possible, but I'm not aware of the circumstances because of our involvement in the game [in Georgia]. I don't want it to be a distraction over what we achieved here tonight."
Spurs have spent £59m on transfer fees so far this summer, as Etienne Capoue, Roberto Soldado, Nacer Chadli and Paulinho have arrived at White Hart Lane.
