Atletico Madrid are hoping to sign Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-Germain to replace Antoine Griezmann, according to a report.
Griezmann announced on Tuesday that he will quit the Wanda Metropolitano this summer, just a year after rejecting a move to Barcelona and signing a long-term deal.
Spanish radio show El Larguero suggests that Atleti have been on the lookout for a new striker and Cavani, who has scored 133 goals in six Ligue 1 seasons with PSG, is someone they are keen to sign.
Premier League side Chelsea are rumoured to have also been in touch with the Uruguay international's representatives, but it is claimed that Atletico are well positioned to sign him.
Los Rojiblancos will reportedly consider sending Diego Costa the opposite way to help finalise a deal with PSG.
