Emmanuel Adebayor set for Chelsea loan switch?

Chelsea could launch a loan bid for Emmanuel Adebayor, according to reports.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor is being lined up for a surprise loan move to Chelsea, according to reports.

The 31-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at White Hart Lane following the emergence of Harry Kane, and saw a January move to West Ham United collapse on deadline day.

However, Jose Mourinho is now considering a move for the Togolese striker as he seeks back-up options for Diego Costa, reports The Mirror.

Mourinho took Adebayor to Read Madrid on loan from Manchester City in 2011, where he scored five La Liga goals.
