Team News: Eden Hazard makes first Premier League start of season

Eden Hazard makes his first Premier League start of the season as Chelsea welcome Manchester City.

Eden Hazard will make his first Premier League start of the season as Chelsea welcome Manchester City to Stamford Bridge this evening.

Blues boss Antonio Conte makes two changes following the side's late victory at Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday night, with Hazard retaining his place to make his first league start following ankle surgery over the summer.

Alvaro Morata, who scored three of the side's four goals against Stoke City last weekend, and Cesc Fabregas keep their places in the attack, with Cesar Azpilicueta, Tiemoue Bakayoko, N'Golo Kante and Marcos Alonso making up a four-man midfield.

David Luiz serves the final game of his domestic suspension and Victor Moses drops down to the bench as Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen join Gary Cahill in the backline ahead of Thibaut Courtois between the sticks.

As for the visitors, City boss Pep Guardiola is forced into one change following the 2-0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Sergio Aguero suffered a broken rib in a car crash while in Amsterdam and is replaced by Raheem Sterling, who came off the bench to score in midweek.

Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane retain their places in the attack alongside Sterling, while Fernandinho, Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva make up the midfield.

Kyle Walker, John Stones, Nicolas Otamendi and Fabian Delph are in the back four ahead of Ederson in goal.
