Jose Mourinho: 'Chelsea disgusted after racism incident'

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho admits that the club were disgusted after seeing a video of the incident that occurred on the Paris Metro on Tuesday night.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that he felt ashamed when he was first informed of the incident that occurred on the Paris Metro on Tuesday night.

After Chelsea had recorded a 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain, a video emerged of a number of Chelsea supporters preventing a black man from getting onto a train before singing songs that seemingly supported their actions.

The West London club have since suspended three men who are believed to have been involved in the incident, and at his pre-match press conference ahead of the match with Burnley, Mourinho has admitted that the club felt "appalled and disgusted" in the aftermath of what took place.

The 52-year-old told reporters: "I felt ashamed when I found out what happened. I refuse to be connected with the people. They are not Chelsea. This is not Chelsea.

"The dressing room reacted as I did - with disappointment and they condemn the situation and support the gentleman involved and they feel ashamed but maybe we shouldn't because these people involved do not belong to Chelsea Football Club."

Users of social media continue to share photographs of the people involved in an attempt to prevent them from attending future football matches.
