Thomas Tuchel will be forced to leave the United Kingdom next month as a result of his Chelsea sacking due to new post-Brexit regulations.

The Blues sacked their Champions League-winning manager in September but he was not placed on gardening leave and therefore must leave the country due to visa laws that came into effect after Britain's exit from the European Union in 2020.

Two of the German's coaches at the club, Zsolt Low and Benjamin Webber can remain in the country due to the fact that the club placed them on gardening leave, but Tuchel was not afforded the same generosity when Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital made the decision to replace the coaching team.

The former Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund and Mainz boss had settled in Surrey, his daughters attending school in the county.

According to the Daily Mirror, he will now move back to Germany, to the city of Munich whilst he waits for his next opportunity in management.

The 49-year-old has been linked with potential vacancies at Aston Villa and Juventus, but chose to wait for the right opportunity.
