Jose Mourinho disappointed by Roberto Di Matteo sacking

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho admits that he is disappointed by the sacking of Roberto Di Matteo.

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has revealed his disappointment following the sacking of Roberto Di Matteo.

Chelsea dismissed Di Matteo on Wednesday despite the Italian leading the club to the Champions League title in May.

However, Mourinho claims that he supports the appointment of Rafael Benitez.

The former Blues boss told Sky Sports News: "I'm never happy when a manager is sacked because it could happen to me.

"But everybody knows that I like Chelsea and I will always support any Chelsea manager. This is football."

Mourinho guided Madrid to progress in the Champions League with a 1-1 draw against Manchester City on Wednesday evening.
