Jose Mourinho to give Victor Moses chance to resurrect Chelsea career

Victor Moses is to be given the chance to revive his Chelsea career after two seasons away on loan.

Jose Mourinho has indicated that Victor Moses will be given a chance to revive his Chelsea career following two seasons away from Stamford Bridge.

Nigeria international Moses has spent the last two Premier League campaigns on loan at Liverpool and Stoke City, but Mourinho is impressed with the 24-year-old's improvement.

"Victor is strong, he's experienced and he knows the Premier League well," the Blues boss told reporters after his side's 4-2 defeat to New York Red Bulls on Wednesday.

"He's fast and aggressive. Okay, he has to learn how to play with us but I'm happy with his week and his 45 minutes. Let's see what happens but Victor had an evolution in the last couple of years."

Moses signed for Chelsea from Wigan Athletic in 2012, scoring 10 goals in 43 appearances in his first season, but departed on loan following Mourinho's return to the London club in 2013.

He scored twice in 22 appearances during his time at Liverpool, and picked up four goals in 23 appearances for Stoke last season.
