The Football Association have slapped Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel with a charge for misconduct in the aftermath of the race row involving Mark Clattenburg.
It was announced this afternoon that the 37-year-old referee will face no further action after being accused of calling Mikel a "monkey" during last month's defeat to Manchester United.
However, the FA feel that the Nigerian has a case to answer after allegedly using 'threatening and/or abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour' during the match at Stamford Bridge.
Mikel has accepted the charge, but has requested a personal hearing.
