Liverpool draw Burton Albion in second round of EFL Cup

Liverpool face a trip to Championship side Burton Albion in round two of the EFL Cup.

Liverpool have been drawn against Championship side Burton Albion in the second round of the EFL Cup.

Nigel Clough's team set up a home tie against the Reds by defeating Bury 3-2 after extra time in the previous round.

Liverpool's city rivals Everton have been drawn at home to Yeovil Town, while fellow Premier League outfit Chelsea will host either Bristol Rovers or Bristol City.

Luton Town's reward for knocking out Aston Villa in round one is a home tie against Leeds United, who needed penalties to see off Fleetwood Town in their first match of the campaign.

Other highlights from the draw include Crystal Palace vs. Blackpool, Stevenage vs. Stoke City, Fulham vs. Middlesbrough, and Morecambe vs. Bournemouth.

The ties will be played on the week of August 22.
