Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou is expected to be offered a new deal to remain at Stamford Bridge.

Kalou has not been a regular starter under Andre Villas-Boas this season, but the Daily Mail has claimed that the Ivory Coast international remains part of the Portuguese manaager's plans.

The 26-year-old is out of contract at the end of the current season but Chelsea are rumoured to be willing to offer Kalou an £80k-a-week deal.

Despite the proposed wages, Kalou is believed to want assurances from Villas-Boas that he will be given more first-team opportunities in the near future.

Kalou has scored three goals in nine appearances for Chelsea this season.
