Former Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda has joined Turkish side Trabzonspor on a free transfer.

The 33-year-old became a free agent after being released by the club at the end of last season.

Malouda, who was Mourinho's final signing in his first spell with the club, made 149 appearances for Chelsea, but only one of those came last season.

He was made to train with the Under-21 squad for the majority of the 2012-13 campaign after failing to secure a move away from the club during the summer transfer window.

However, the former France international did come on as a substitute in the 2012 Champions League Final, and won one Premier League title and three FA Cups during his six-year spell with the club.
