Chelsea are reportedly interested in Reading defender Michael Hector.
The 23-year-old, who has established himself at the heart of the Royals defence in the past 12 months, is thought to have been a target for Crystal Palace.
Chelsea have been heavily linked with Everton centre-back John Stones, but it appears that they have turned their attention elsewhere following three failed bids, with Nantes stopper Papy Djilobodji also linked with the Blues.
According to Get Reading, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will make a late move for Hector if a deal for Stones cannot be agreed.
Hector has made 63 appearances in all competitions for Reading.
