Fabio Capello's son and lawyer, Pierfilippo, has denied speculation claiming that the former England boss is in talks with Chelsea over the vacant manager's job.
The Italian has been out of work since he resigned from his Three Lions post in February and has admitted his desire to manager in the Premier League.
However, Pierfilippo Capello has quashed the rumours and instead feels that a lucrative move to China could be a more realistic option.
"Unfortunately, these are just wonderful inventions by newspapers," he told TuttoMercato.
"A future in China the same as (Marcello) Lippi? My father was already close to the same club (Guangzhou), then it all came to nothing.
"Any possibility cannot be excluded, as long as the project is successful and exciting."
Roberto Di Matteo has been in interim charge at Stamford Bridge since Andre Villas-Boas's sacking in March.
