Fabio Capello has held talks with Chelsea about becoming the next manager of the Premier League outfit, according to a report.
Sources in Italy have indicated that the former England boss is keen to take over at Stamford Bridge, and could join the club as soon as next week, according to The Mirror.
Capello is said to be seeking a three-year deal worth around £6m per season at Chelsea, though the Blues owner Roman Abramovich is expected to speak to a number of other candidates.
Guus Hiddink has been touted as another potential candidate for the role, though he remains under contract with Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala.
Interim coach Roberto Di Matteo, who will lead Chelsea into Saturday's Champions League final with Bayern Munich, has also been linked with taking on the job on a permanent basis.
