Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas says that his side are "motivated" to topple his former club Chelsea a week on Saturday.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has insisted that he and his team are determined to end Chelsea's unbeaten run when they meet in a fortnight.

The Portuguese boss, who spent nine months at Stamford Bridge before being sacked, will come up against his former club for the first time since moving to White Hart Lane in the summer.

"It's obviously going to be a difficult game but we are showing good levels of competence and we hope to profit from the fact that we play at home and profit from the fact that we play an unbeaten league leader to help on our motivation to try to beat them," said Villas-Boas.

The North London outfit are currently fifth in the Premier League table following their 2-0 win over Aston Villa yesterday.
