Carlo Ancelotti issues Jose Mourinho backing

Ex-Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti says that the club should keep faith with current manager Jose Mourinho.

Carlo Ancelotti has stated that Jose Mourinho is the right man to lead Chelsea out of their slump in form.

The Portuguese coach has had his future called into question after the team's start to the season, which sees them 15th in the Premier League table after losing five of their first 10 games.

Ancelotti, who managed Chelsea from 2009 to 2011, has said that his old club should keep faith with Mourinho, who guided them to the league title last season.

"I did not expect this crisis, but I understand the reasons for these problems - I think they are feeling satiated," the Italian told the London Evening Standard.

"Last year they won by a huge margin, and now they are more relaxed. Don't worry, Mourinho will put everything back in order, he is the right man."

Mourinho has been in charge at Stamford Bridge since 2013.
