Pedro keen for Chelsea to continue form

Chelsea winger Pedro admits that he is keen for his side to take their Premier League form into the EFL Cup when they face West Ham United on Wednesday night.

Chelsea winger Pedro has acknowledged that the Blues cannot afford a below-par performance when they face West Ham United on Wednesday night.

Antonio Conte's team have won three matches in succession and despite the expectation that changes will be made to the starting lineup, Pedro is hopeful that the team can continue to play with confidence when they make the short trip to East London.

The 29-year-old told the club's official website: "It's an important game. We want to continue to play with this confidence and this mentality. It's a new competition, it's the cup, and it will be a difficult game. West Ham are a good team too.

"It's always good to see a new stadium and experience it, but then you just want to prepare for the game and then win it."

Pedro scored his first goal of the season in the 4-0 victory over Manchester United on Sunday.
