Bradford City manager Phil Parkinson says that it will be a "great day for football" when his side meet Aston Villa in the League Cup final.

Bradford City manager Phil Parkinson has said that it will be a "great day for football" when his side meet Swansea City in the League Cup final.

The Bantams boss insists that the Welsh outfit are worthy finalists after watching them hold Chelsea to a 0-0 draw to make it through to the final 2-0 on aggregate.

Parkinson also addressed Eden Hazard's controversial sending-off, which occurred after the Chelsea man appeared to kick a Swansea ball boy.

"Swansea did well, they really wanted to get through. It was a crazy red card, that ball boy is going to be all over the papers tomorrow, it's comical really," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.

"We will play with confidence and belief in the final. We will give ourselves a chance. I'm so pleased it's Swansea, it will be a great day for football."

Parkinson's team progressed to the final with a 4-3 aggregate victory over Aston Villa in the semi-finals.
