Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Brentford

Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their EFL Cup quarter-final tie at Brentford.

Chelsea are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday evening for their EFL Cup quarter-final tie at Brentford.

Both clubs are currently affected by coronavirus outbreaks, putting the fixture at risk of being postponed to a later date.

However, Chelsea were forced to play their Premier League fixture at the weekend, head coach Thomas Tuchel only being able to name four outfield substitutes.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Brentford, opponents who pushed them all the way in the Premier League on October 16.

Last week, Havertz tested negative for coronavirus, despite feeling unwell. However, although he returned to training on Friday, the German did not feature in the squad against Wolves, the assumption being that he has tested positive for coronavirus.
