Head coach Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Thiago Silva instigated a chat with him on Tuesday regarding a social media post made by his wife.
On Sunday afternoon, Chelsea succumbed to a 4-2 defeat at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers, the second successive game in which they have conceded four times in a top-flight fixture.
After Wolves had gone into a 4-1 lead, prior to Thiago Silva scoring a consolation, Belle Silva posted: "It's time to change. If you wait any longer it will be too late."
The comments were accompanied by two Blue hearts, which can be perceived to be associated with Chelsea, and the post has remained undeleted on her X profile at a time when reports have emerged over Pochettino's future.
Thiago Silva is likely in his final campaign at Stamford Bridge, a consequence of being 39 years of age and having under five months remaining on his contract.

Despite his age, the Brazil international's leadership qualities are viewed as key behind the scenes, while he has also featured for the most minutes of any Chelsea player in the Premier League during 2023-24.
Nevertheless, given at least two passionate pitchside exchanges between Pochettino and Silva this season, their relationship has been called into question at times.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference in Tuesday, Pochettino insisted that they were on good terms, but acknowledged that talks had been held since the weekend.
The Argentine said: "He came today to talk with me. I'm not going to talk about the way that we were talking. The important thing is that he came and wanted to talk with me.

"You know me, after more than 10 years, we are a really strong coaching staff, and very strong in the way that we operate. He came to talk, we talk, it was private, that's it."
Pochettino must decide whether to include Silva in the starting lineup for Wednesday's FA Cup fourth-round replay with Aston Villa, the veteran having already made 25 starts and two substitute outings this campaign.
He also hinted in the media briefing that he may make a number of alterations for the game in the West Midlands, Chelsea's third in the space of a week.
However, Chelsea do not play again until Monday night, when they make the short trip to Crystal Palace, before facing Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on February 17.
