Tottenham Hotspur defender Ledley King will be cheering on Bayern Munich when they meet Chelsea in the Champions League final.
The pair clash at the Allianz Arena on Saturday and if the Blues emerge victorious, they will qualify for next season's competition ahead of Spurs.
King said that it is an unusual situation and questioned whether it would be fair to consign Spurs to the Europa League after finishing fourth in the Premier League.
"Is it fair for us to miss out if they beat Bayern? It's a tough one," said King. "Obviously you want English teams to do well, but in this case... well, you would be cheering for Bayern Munich.
"We are hoping that Bayern Munich will win. We knew what we were playing for. But this is an unusual case, finishing in the top four and not getting the place in the Champions League."
In 2000, Real Zaragoza were forced to play in the UEFA Cup after Real Madrid won the Champions League despite finishing fifth.
