This season's Champions League quarter-finals and semi-finals could reportedly be played over one leg due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The Champions League quarter-finals and semi-finals could reportedly be played over one leg as UEFA look to come up with a solution to complete the competition this season.

Next week's fixtures in Europe's premier competition have been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak, and it currently unclear when the tournament will be able to resume.

UEFA are due to meet on Tuesday to discuss a number of proposals, and it is thought that this summer's European Championships will be suspended until 2021.

According to The Mirror, this season's Champions League quarter-finals and semi-finals could be played over one leg at neutral venues, although the same report claims that a toss of a coin could be used to determine which side plays at home.

The Europa League is expected to follow the same pattern should an agreement be reached as UEFA are determined to complete both tournaments despite the virus which has swept across the world.

The majority of European leagues are not due to return to the field until April at the earliest although postponing Euro 2020 would potentially make time available to complete the season.

Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid, Atalanta BC and RB Leipzig all booked their spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League last week.
